Sports Science and Coaching BSc (Hons)
This British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences endorsed programme is the ideal course for students looking to combine their interests in coaching and in the sport sciences which explain how individuals develop and excel.
Students will acquire an understanding of the latest theory and research in coaching and in the core sciences of biomechanics, physiology and psychology, as well as the hands-on skills and confidence to apply this knowledge when working with athletes.
The course is delivered by highly-qualified coaches and sports scientists, who have extensive experience working within participation, talent development, and elite performance contexts.
The course will develop graduates with extensive practical skills and a theoretical underpinning in the fields of Biomechanics, Psychology, and Physiology, including sub-disciplines such as Performance Analysis, Skill Acquisition and Nutrition.
Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir egzaminų rezultatus. Brandos atestato vidurkis turi būti ne žemesnis nei 8 ir 2 valstybiniai egzaminai išlaikyti ne mažiau nei 75%.

Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai uiversitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.

Your degree is designed to provide you with two exit routes in the area of sport: sport science support, or coaching. Vocational opportunities for scientifically-informed coaches have increased dramatically over the past decade and the confidence, skills and knowledge that you will develop through this course will prepare you to pursue a range of careers, from coaching and coach education to the provision of sport science support.
Typical careers include:
- Coaching in professional clubs (academies, centres of excellence, club/community coaching)
- Coaching in amateur clubs (tennis, squash or golf clubs, etc.)
- Sport science support with Sports Governing Bodies
- Sports equipment consultant
- Teaching
- Postgraduate study in specialist areas (e.g. Nutrition, Performance, Analysis, Strength and Conditioning)
