Are you interested in areas of sports science such as exercise physiology and psychology, or perhaps fitness instruction, nutrition and conditioning. This dynamic degree course covers all of this and more. You’ll look into areas like anatomy and kinanthropometry, and spend time studying biomechanics. We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate a deep interest in health and fitness, and also approach problems with a critical, but logical mind.

This course also has options that are aimed to give you a solid understanding of related areas of sports science such as performance analysis, exercise referral and sports injury and rehabilitation.

What this course will cover

You’ll study key modules in sports nutrition and performance analysis, as well as biomechanics and kinesiology. The broad range of areas you’ll cover ensures you get a taste of all areas of the sports science field gaining a thorough understanding along the way.

Throughout the degree programme you’ll benefit from a variety of guest lectures from industry practitioners, field trips and have the chance to attend sport and exercise science conferences.

Gain additional qualifications

During this course you will learn about the science behind sports performance, exercise and health. You’ll spend time working in the Human Performance Laboratory and have the opportunity to get your L2 Gym Instructor and L3 Exercise Referral REPS qualifications. These are embedded into the curriculum and are offered at no extra cost.

A well connected teaching staff

To assist your professional skills, teachers will involve you in their ongoing research and consultancy enabling you to network and take advantage of potential career related opportunities. These may include lab internships and placement opportunities within sport teams and organisations.

Anglų kalbos reikalavimai

Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • Anglų kalba B2 lygis + valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikytas 75% ir daugiau.

  • IELTS - 6.0

  • TOEFL – 80

Having studied at Bucks, you will be associated with a university that has been a pioneer in sport-related studies for over 15 years. We have a strong reputation for our sport courses and as a graduate you’ll be able to make full use of our partnerships with public and private sector sport organisations both nationally and internationally. Previous graduates have gone on to work in strength and conditioning at the English Institute of Sport, as research assistants at international universities and a performance analysts with sports teams such as Watford Football Club.

When you finish this course you’ll have acquired the specific skills necessary to work in the fitness industry, health promotion and exercise referral initiatives. Graduates will also be well suited to careers in sports development and personal training. You may chose to go into sports science support for individual athletes or teams delivering fitness testing, strength and conditioning programmes.

Additionally, you will be able to take on a range of professional and postgraduate qualifications such as MSc Health Rehabilitation & Exercise, or the PGCE in Physical Education.
