Why LLB(Hons) European and International Law?

Law affects every part of human life.  From the air we breathe to our relationships with each other and the state.

The increase in globalisation has led to the expansion of international law firms and a subsequent increase in job opportunities in private sector law firms, government, courts, Non-Governmental Organisation's and with international organisations including the European Union and International Court of Justice.

A law degree with a strong international focus prepares you for work within a law firm overseas or an organisation that operates overseas.

The law industry is dynamic and competitive and changes in line with social needs.  A law degree offers diverse career pathways and provides you with a skillset to succeed in almost any career.

Why study our course?

You will study an exciting and relevant Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) with a strong international focus underpinned by a solid foundation in law and an opportunity to gain real-world experience in the UK and overseas.

Teaching is informed by the latest research and delivered by leading experts in international law. You will explore and compare the legal systems of global nations through cutting-edge modules spanning international trade, migration law and policy and European Union law.

Real world experience

You will have a wealth of opportunities to gain valuable real-world experience and vital skills during this course. Mooting competitions, guest speakers, field trips, Pro-Bono work, placements, and a practical 'Law in Action' module give you insightful knowledge of real life cases and access to UWE's local law network.  State of the art mock courtrooms provide regular opportunities to practice legal submissions and gain experience of the court while law simulations allow you to practice key case working skills.
