You can study English Literature as a joint honours degree with Music (50% English Literature and 50% Music).

This course offers you the opportunity to study a broad range of English Literature in small groups, led by the research experts in the field, in an atmosphere of creative, scholarly enterprise in order to develop skills of critical analysis that are highly valued by employers.

Studying, creating and performing music of all eras in a lively atmosphere of creative activity and scholarly endeavour.

We offer the opportinity to study a variety of music styles from different perspectives.

Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas

Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir egzaminų rezultatus. Brandos atestato vidurkis turi būti ne žemesnis nei 8 ir valstybinių egzaminų vidurkis ne mažesnis nei 75%.

Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai uiversitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • IELTS - 6.0

  • TOEFL – 80

Employability and English Literature degrees
A degree in English Literature provides our students with excellent employment prospects, in a wide range of career options. In the past our graduates have gone into teaching, publishing, advertising, journalism, the law, social work, business, politics, accountancy, the police, human resources, and academia. Several of our graduates have become leading figures in the arts.

Transferable skills
Our degree will teach you the skills of critical analysis, imaginative problem solving, and presentation. Our graduates are typically independent-minded, yet able to work as part of an effective team. The skills they possess are highly valued by employers.

Employability and Music degrees
A degree in Music offers excellent employment prospects, in a wide range of career options. Many of our graduates choose to become teachers, at all educational levels (up to and including university); others take up administrative posts with orchestras, opera houses, or arts centres. Music graduates are always needed in the media and in recording companies, as technicians, producers, programme-planners, and writers. Other possible career paths include specialist music journalism, music publishing, music librarianship, and arts marketing. Several of our graduates have gone on to become distinguished academics, composers, and performers.

Transferable skills
Our degrees allow students to develop a range of transferable skills (communication, creativity, initiative, collaboration, etc.) which are excellent preparation for entry into the civil service, industry, or into one of the professions.
