This course offers a scientific basis for health promotion and covers nutrition; exercise physiology and exercise prescription; behavioural change and health psychology; and research skills.
The course offers you accreditation opportunities as well as strong NHS and community health links. Study nutrition and exercise for different stages of life, prevention and treatment of disease, and gain skills in working with different patient and client groups.
This course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition which allows graduates direct entry onto the register of Associate Nutritionists. The course also integrates automatic accreditation opportunities for exercise practice with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).

For those who wish to pursue a career in Public Health and/or Health Promotion and Education this course provides a foundation of knowledge that will be useful in acquiring the competencies through the Faculty of Public Health (Department of Health) required to join the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR.) This is a register which provides the regulation of public health specialists with a background in areas such as social science, medicine, nursing, health promotion, pharmacy, psychology and dentistry. Completion of this BSc in `Health, Nutrition and Exercise will also allow you the opportunity to apply as a member of the Institute of Health Promotion and Education.
