Cyber security is recognised as a priority for governments and large organisations throughout the world. State sponsored cyber attacks are widely reported and whilst the responsibility for them is usually denied, what is far more certain is that cyber attacks on the national critical infrastructure and the theft of the intellectual property of large organisations are increasing and need protecting against. It is impossible to ignore the importance of cyber security. Developed in conjunction with Deloitte, this course provides you with knowledge of the very latest cyber security principles, practices, tools and techniques, taught by a team of specialist staff in purpose-built computer cyber security laboratories. If you are interested in a challenging and worthwhile career in a rapidly expanding and vitally important area of computing then this is the course for you. Graduates from this course are expected to make a real contribution to safeguarding cyber space and protecting national and organisational resources from unauthorised access and or malicious intent. The course will:
- Provide you with the latest tools, techniques and knowledge in one of the most exciting areas of modern computing
- Present a holistic perspective of cyber security including the underpinning technology of the cyber domain and the role of linguistics, psychology and sociology in dealing with new cyber challenges.

- Provide you with excellent career prospects in a rapidly expanding industry in which you can make a real difference to the safety and security of cyber space
Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.
ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi.
Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.
Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
Anglų kalbos vidurkis 8 B2 lygiu + valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikyti 80 % ir daugiau (jei IELTS 6.5) arba anglų kalbos vidurkis 10 B2 lygiu + valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikyti 95 % ir daugiau (jei IELTS 7.0)
De Montfort University online testas (jei nori laikyti šį testą kreipkis į Kastu koordinatorius).
IELTS - 6.5 arba 7.0
TOEFL – 90 arba 100
Graduates are likely to be employed as cyber security specialists within law enforcement, government or other related agencies, in commercial IT departments or security consultancies, or in other computing positions where cyber security is an issue. The involvement of Deloitte in designing the course and supporting its delivery and development will assure it remains current and supportive of the real challenges cyber security specialist face in the rapidly changing cyber domain. Opportunities also exist for further academic study towards a PhD and a career in research.
