Physical Education and Sport
This programme builds on the foundations of Physical Education and sport provided by schools and colleges through the PE National Curriculum and wider programmes in Sport and leisure. The programme provides theoretical courses related to the scientific, psychological and sociological study of Physical Education and Sport, and practical courses in athletics, dance, games, gymnastics and swimming, as well as outdoor education/adventurous activities. In addition, students study courses related to sport policy, practice and development which consider the context and principles of teaching and coaching. There is also the opportunity to examine contemporary PE and sporting issues and their impact within local, national and international communities. Research skills are developed in each year leading to the supervised Independent Study course in the final year. The university has excellent sports facilities including an indoor Airdome (astroturf), Sports hall, and a specialist dance studio. The aims of the programme are to:
- Provide an education in the disciplines integral to physical education and sport
- Enhance knowledge and understanding of physical education and sport
- Develop key transferable skills such as information technology (IT), team work, problem solving, self-assessment, and application of research and mathematical skills.
- Develop an enquiring and analytical approach to the study of physical education and sport.
Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir Brandos atestato vidurkį, kuris turi būti ne žemesnis kaip 8.
Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.*
Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie Kastu stojimo anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.
! Jeigu nori studijuoti šiame universitete, tačiau neatitinki studijų programos stojimo reikalavimų arba bijai, kad jų neatitiksi, SPAUSK ČIA ir sužinok, kaip gali įstoti į šį universitetą paprastesnėmis sąlygomis!
Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.

Dedicated courses in Year 1 and Year 3 prepare students to enhance their employability for PE and sport-related careers. In addition, work placement opportunities are built into each year of the programme. Graduates are equipped to work in a variety of roles within the sports and leisure industry. Graduates are also well placed to apply for teacher training, for example, via a PGCE programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status.c
