Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration) MSc
Occupational Therapy (OT) at Brunel is one of the largest, longest established, and most highly regarded programmes in the world. In fact, we are the original ‘London School of Occupational Therapy.’
The MSc Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration) provides a Master's level route for graduates to become competent occupational therapists equipped for life-long, safe and effective practice within the global marketplace. This course is for those who are not already qualified as occupational therapists. It is a professional full-time programme, which will prepare you to become a competent occupational therapist in a variety of health and social care settings. It also allows students to be eligible to apply for:
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Membership of the British Association of Occupational Therapists/College of Occupational Therapists.
In January 2016 our programme was given “Candidacy Status” by The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), which confirms that Brunel has successfully completed the first step in the three-step initial accreditation process - see more at: AOTA OT Master's-Level Programs - Developing and visit our Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) information page.
The programme will now proceed with step two - the pre-accreditation review of the programme. Brunel is scheduled to submit its self-study in July 2016. We anticipate an on-site visit in late 2016 or early 2017 followed by an accreditation decision by mid-2017.
Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.
ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi.
Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.
Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
Valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikytas 80 % ir daugiau (gali reikalauti ir didesnio balo priklausomai nuo pasirinktos programos anglų kalbos reikalavimų)
IELTS - 6.5
TOEFL - 90

As a career, occupational therapy offers many opportunities to work in the health service, social services, education or the private and voluntary sector.
The role is an occupational therapist. Occupational therapists work to enable people to get back home following a stay in hospital, they may support people at home to live independently in their communities, they may be working to help people get back to paid or voluntary work. Occupational therapists work across the lifespan and many specialise as they develop their expertise.
