Information Technology
The Information Technology programme at NHL Stenden equips you with the essential knowledge for the development of (web) applications and mobile device software, while also providing insights into IT security.
The IT programme in Emmen makes use of the Internet of Things Laboratory (IoT Lab) and has the latest innovative devices available, including a Microsoft Surface Hub, Virtual Reality equipment, and robots. The Emmen campus is also home to MyConcept, a Fabrication Laboratory where you can use 3D printers to print designs in three dimensions. Learning to use this innovative high-tech equipment will help you design and implement just about anything and everything.
The programme focuses on areas such as software, cyber security, web technology, company networks, databases and programming languages. You will be trained as a specialist in these areas over the course of the four-year programme. In addition to the technical classes, you also learn practical skills, such as managing project-based work and end-user communication.
Our Information Technology degree offers a broad first year which allows you to explore your areas of interests and strengths. In this programme, you will learn to work with several programming languages and learn everything you need to know about databases, operating systems, IT architecture, web technology, and more. You will also develop essential communication skills for working in a professional environment.

Studying Information Technology at NHL Stenden means combining IT skills with personal development so that graduates not only have a strong understanding of their field but are also capable of communicating their insights to a broader audience and in an international context. Our participation in RUN-EU means you can join Short Advanced Programmes and carry out projects with partner institutions in Europe. You can also go to one of the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences Grand Tour locations in South Africa, Bali or Thailand. Or you can go on an exchange to a partner university or and delve into a totally new way of studying. With over 100 different minors on offer through NHL Stenden and held at locations all over the world, you're sure to find the perfect specialisation, from Certified Ethical Hacking to Hack@Sea, from Critical Thinking & Data-Driven Decision Making to E-business.

The program is unique because of the Ethical Hacking minor, which can't be found elsewhere and has a high demand in job market.
- Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.
- Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka anketoje prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.

- Motyvacinis laiškas yra privalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
- CV - stojant į visas bakalauro programas reikia pateikti savo CV.

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- turėti anglų kalbos pažymį Brandos atestate ir išlaikyti Anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum)*
arba
- išlaikyti IELTS arba TOEFL testą.
*Jeigu nori pasitikrinti ar tavo anglų kalbos žinios yra pakankamos studijuoti Nyderlandų aukštosiose – suteikiame galimybę laikyti Oxford anglų kalbos testą. Nors anglų kalbos testas nėra reikalaujamas, patartina žinoti savo galimybes ir kalbos lygį.
