Mechanical engineering studies give you a comprehensive overview of modern product design and production techniques.

You will learn to utilise digital and virtual environments in design as well as take into account the principles of the entire product life cycle and circular economy. You will also understand business principles, marketing and customer needs in product development.

Mechanical engineering is for you if you are inventive, creative and passionate about developing solutions that promote sustainable development and the respect for natural resources.

Double Degree

The Bachelor's Programme in Mechanical Engineering is a unique, international double degree programme developed in cooperation with Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) in China. Students admitted to the Bachelor's Programme in Mechanical Engineering at LUT University will receive a degree certificate from two universities after they have fulfilled the degree requirements of both universities. You will complete the entire degree in Lappeenranta, Finland.
 

By the end of the studies, you will be able to build, measure and test a variety of sustainable technical solutions both in real life and virtually.

The diverse teaching in the programme prepares students for the international labour market. The technology industry is Finland's most important export sector, and its largest industrial sector is the machinery and metal industry. Successful products in the machinery and metal industries include cruise ships, marine and power plant engines, elevators, cranes and hoists, electric and hybrid cars, and state-of-the-art commercial machines.

After completing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, you can continue your studies directly in the Master's programmes at LUT in the field of mechanical engineering:

Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas
  • Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia. Pageidaujamas pažymių vidurkis turi būti ne mažiau 7.

  • Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą

 

 

Pastaba! 

  • Motyvacinis laiškas yra NEprivalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
  • Matematika - reikalaujamos geros matematikos žinios, todėl pageidaujama turėti A lygį mokykloje ir ne mažesnį pažymį nei 8.
  • Fizika arba chemija - pageidaujama turėti ne mažesnį pažymį nei 8.

Svarbu. Pažymių reikalavimai yra orientaciniai ir galutinį vertinimą ar turimų pažymių pakanka atliks LUT universiteto priėmimo komisija.

 

 

Anglų kalbos reikalavimai

SVARBU! Anglų testo sertifikatas turi būti atsiųstas kartu su stojimo anketa iki stojimo deadlino.
 

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • IELTS – 6.0 (ne mažiau 5.5 iš rašymo dalies)

  • TOEFL - 80 (ne mažiau 20 iš rašymo dalies). TOEFL testo rezultatai privalo būti nusiųsti tiesiogiai iš centro, kuriame laikei testą, LUT universiteto kodas, kurį reikia nurodyti yra 0496).

 

You can work in management and expert positions, as a design or production engineer, or in the development of consumer goods, machinery, equipment and their parts. With a Master's degree in mechanical engineering one can also research and develop manufacturing methods and apply them to production or simulate process or mechanical systems.

Work may also involve training, research and marketing tasks, for example in industrial projects or in one's own company. Master's graduates in mechanical engineering have gone on to become:

  • heads of virtual design firms
  • design managers of international energy companies
  • production managers of pulp and paper plants
  • mechanical engineers
  • quality control managers in the metal industry
  • product development engineers/managers
  • research and development engineers
  • project engineers/managers
