Paramedic Nurse – an expert in acute health care
As a Paramedic Nurse, you will help trauma patients or people who suddenly fall ill and need urgent care, both in and out of the hospital. You recognise and anticipate situations threatening the patient's life, and know how to act as the situation requires. In addition to alert tasks, your job will include non-urgent care: examining patients, mapping situations, and planning follow-up care.
The work of a Paramedic Nurse requires pressure tolerance, as well as the readiness to act consistently even in difficult and unexpected situations. In addition, good physical and mental workability is required at work. As a Paramedic Nurse, you must be able to make quick independent decisions based on researched information and care guidelines. Many paramedics work in ambulances, but you can also find work in, for example, a hospital emergency room or intensive care unit.

Our modern health care labs and simulation environment enable you to develop your skills, knowledge and decision-making abilities to become an expert in paramedics and nursing.
The Degree Programme in Paramedic Nursing (RN) will open up a wide range of possibilities to work as a Paramedic Nurse or a Registered Nurse in Finland and elsewhere in the European Union.
Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia. Pageidaujamas pažymių vidurkis turi būti ne mažiau 7.
Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą
Svarbu. Pažymių reikalavimai yra orientaciniai ir galutinį vertinimą ar turimų pažymių pakanka atliks LAB universiteto priėmimo komisija.
SVARBU! Anglų testo sertifikatas turi būti atsiųstas kartu su stojimo anketa iki stojimo deadlino.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
IELTS – 6.0 (ne mažiau 5.5 iš rašymo dalies)
TOEFL - 80 (ne mažiau 20 iš rašymo dalies)
- Laikant SAT testą - atliekamos anglų kalbos užduotys.
Priėmimas į LAB vyksta vienu iš dviejų būdų:
1. Pagal Brandos atestato pažymius
- Pažymių vidurkis privalo būti ne mažesnis nei 7.
- Matematikos pažymiai privalo būti ne mažesni nei 7.
2. SAT testas
Studentai, kurie neatitinka pažymių reikalavimų, gali laikyti SAT testą. Testo rezultatus būtina pateikti kartu su stojimo anketa.
LAB reikalauja mažiausiai 550 balų iš skaitymo ir rašymo dalių.
Most often Paramedic Nurses work as care-level paramedics in ambulances. You can also work in a variety of nursing and emergency care specialist positions that require basic or special skills.
Paramedic Nurses can work in primary health care, specialist nursing, outpatient emergency care, social care and private and third sector services both in Finland and abroad. Paramedic Nurses can also work in the private sector as an employee or an entrepreneur, for example in ambulances.
Students from the degree programme Bachelor of Health Care, Paramedic Nurse, will also receive a Bachelor of Science (Nursing), which will expand students' career opportunities for various nursing positions.
