In the Security & development major, you study specific problems in the field of security and learn how to arm yourself against them. As a cyber security specialist you will be trained in the very latest technologies and techniques in the field of cyber security, cyber crime and cyber warfare. Cyber security specialists provide more security and privacy in the digital world.

Did you ever want to understand how a hacker works and to counter their attacks through reverse malware engineering? Are you interested in becoming an ethical hacker and help private and public sector organizations find their weak spots through penetration testing (system, web, and network)? Do you want to help fight Cybercrime and find the bad guys by conducting a forensic analysis? Or is your life’s goal to strengthen security in the industry by learning about Industrial Control Systems Security (OT)? Or do you want to understand cryptography and how it can be used to protect or attack (ransomware)? Data Privacy and GDPR provide you the essential knowledge on your way to become a Data Protection Officer (DPO). You will acquire thorough expertise in Information Security Management and threat modelling and intelligence. All of this and more is offered in this program.

- Motyvacinis laiškas yra privalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
- Matematika - studijoms bus reikalingos geros matematikos žinios, todėl pageidautinas A lygis mokykloje.
- Howest taiko 50 EUR stojimo anketos adminstravimo mokestį.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- 11 klasėje mokytis anglų kalbos B2 lygiu ir turėti metinį pažymį ne mažesnį nei 8, bei vėliau išlaikyti anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum);
- Jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą reikia turėti išlaikytą anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą;
- IELTS - 6.5
- TOEFL - 550 taškai (paper-based), 213 taškai (computer-based) arba 79 taškai (internet-based);
- Duolingo English Test - 110
Sėkmingoms studijoms Howest aukštojoje yra labai svarbios geros matematikos žinios, todėl:
- Rekomenduojame turėti matematiką A lygiu;
- Rekomenduojame turėti iš matematikos ne mažiau nei 7.
Svarbu! Tuo atveju, jei matematikos pažymys yra mažesnis nei 7, motyvaciniame laiške reikia pridėti papildomą pastraipą, kurioje reikia pagrįsti, kodėl universitetas turėtų tave priimti su prastesniu matematikos pažymiu.
