The relevance of automation technology in everyday life is well-known. Digitalisation forms the basis of everything, not only in industry, but also in private life.
The Bachelor Degree Programme in Smart Automation is focussed on these topics known by the umbrella term “Industry 4.0”. Industry 4.0 encompasses the digitalisation of internal and external company value chains as well as product and service offerings and entire business models, all of which are thus revolutionised by it. Furthermore, individual customer requirements are to be realised with serially produced products, optimised decisions are to be made in flexible business and engineering processes, and resource productivity and efficiency are to be increased.

The possibility of integrating professional experience in this work-friendly, full-time degree programme was an essential aspect in the design of the curriculum and the organisation of study time. Theory meets practice — an advantage that opens up job opportunities in highly specialised career areas.
Three specialisations
Smart Automation is primarily focussed on the automation of technical processes and includes smart products and organisational processes. The fields of activity are correspondingly diverse with a particular focus on acti-vities such as planning, development and implementation in the technical surrounding. These activities cover the spectrum from product and service development to production, maintenance and service.
A sound knowledge of automation technology provides the foundation for you to specialise in one of the areas:
- Product
- Production
- Process
In these core areas, you will work on theoretical examples which you will then implement as laboratory and programming exercises. The degree programme is held in English and is therefore best-placed for work in an international context.
Work placement
The work placement allows students to deepen and consolidate the content learned during their studies, to critically reflect the theory with the company’s reality, and to expand their skills to apply knowledge. The work placement is assigned to the 6th semester of the curriculum and is scheduled for at least 15 weeks. A work placement seminar supports and accompanies students during their work placement.
The collectivity of all experiences from the relevant professional activity and the specific discourse as well as the production of cross-connections between studies and the profession are characterized by an internship. The identification and evaluation of interrelationships as well as reports on experiences from the internship are an obligation for the students.

Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą
Pastaba:
1. Motyvacinis laiškas privalomas stojant į šį universitetą.
2. CV privalomas stojant į šį universitetą.
3. Stojamasis testas - kiekvienas stojantysis po anketos išsiuntimo gaus pakvietimą laikyti online stojamąjį testą.
Stojamasis testas susidaro iš dviejų dalių:
- Intelekto testas. Šioje dalyje bus vertinami įvairūs kriterijai ir stojantieji gali tikėtis teksto suvokimo, vizualinių galvosūkių bei loginių mąstymo klausimų.
- Asmenybės testas
4. Interviu. Atlikus stojamąjį testą stojantysis bus pakviestas sudalyvauti interviu su universiteto atstovais.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- turėti anglų kalbos pažymį Brandos atestate ir išlaikyti Anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum)
arba
- išlaikyti IELTS arba TOEFL testą.
The elective modules of the Degree Programme offer the chance to work in specialised fields. Not only are graduates wanted for large industrial businesses, but also for many small/middle-sized companies with specialised and highly technologically mature products.
