How do you bring Dutch products to international markets, or make your business more profitable and efficient? Global companies are looking for commercial talent to get results. With the financial meltdown of 2008, the Volkswagen’s exposé in 2015 and a declining newspaper readership, it’s safe to say that the world is in need of business experts who can turn ideas into businesses. And that is where you’ll come in as a prospective student of International Business (former IBMS) at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS). This three-year programme will help you gain knowledge, skills and proficiency in international markets to prepare you for a future in the world of international trade.
International Business (IB, previously known as IBMS) gives you the tools to excel as an entrepreneur and business expert at an acclaimed international company. In year one, you’ll develop a basic understanding of the fundamentals in business, such as marketing, management, logistics, finance and macroeconomics. In the first few years you’ll look at cases where businesses are struggling and solve the issues in multicultural teams. In year two you’ll take a minor. You’ll conclude the programme with a thesis and internship in year three, which will launch your career as a business professional.
Most International Business students enter the workforce with some form of specialism. This is what minors are all about - giving your IB degree an edge. We have a wide array of minors to offer on IB, three of which focus on doing business in promising economies like Africa, Asia or Latin America. Another minor deals with business-to-business products. Are you more internationally inclined? No problem, we have a list of 350 partner universities offering minors, such as University of Lyon, France, University of Dusseldorf, Germany and University of Seoul, South Korea.

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- turėti anglų kalbos pažymį Brandos atestate ir išlaikyti Anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum)*
arba
- išlaikyti IELTS arba TOEFL testą.
*Jeigu nori pasitikrinti ar tavo anglų kalbos žinios yra pakankamos studijuoti Nyderlandų aukštosiose – suteikiame galimybę laikyti Oxford anglų kalbos testą. Nors anglų kalbos testas nėra reikalaujamas, patartina žinoti savo galimybes ir kalbos lygį.
Visi, kurie dar nėra pabaigę mokyklos ir į šį universitetą stoja besimokydami 12 klasėje, kartu su pažymių išrašu privalo prisegti ir dokumentą, kuriame būtų nurodyti planuojami laikyti brandos egzaminai. Dokumentą turi patvirtinti mokyklos administracija. Egzaminų formą rasi ČIA.
Although we offer courses in accounting, you will need to follow a Master in Accounting after your Bachelor’s to become a certified accountant. There are several options at other universities, both inside and outside the Netherlands.

Continue studying
There’s no need to stop your studies after graduation. The Hague Graduate School offers a few post graduate courses that complement the IB curriculum, such as its Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Financial Management and Control and Master in International Communication Management.
