Sport Studies
The School of Sports Studies offers a three-year flexible bachelor’s programme, made up of 180 ECTS. Do you want to focus on sports as a means for a social, better world or sports as a means for a more vital society? Are you going for the unlimited business possibilities of sports or are you the connector who brings all disciplines together? Get the best out of yourself based on your passion!
What will you be studying?
In the first year of the programme, you are introduced to the three values of sport: the health value, economical value and social value. You also orientate yourself in your future work field by carrying out the first challenges to which these values of sport are central.
The international Sport Studies programme is characterised by its professional focus and helps you to become an innovative sports professional. As a change agent, you can make a difference at both the individual and community levels. The power of sports lies within the three core values of sports and physical activity:
- sport is an important part of a healthy lifestyle;
- sport creates economical value;
- sport can strengthen social cohesion to change communities.
The Sport Studies programme offers you a flexible study programme that is built around these values. This means that you can give more direction to your study path through various options within the programme. Your study coach will help you make the choices that match your talents, qualities and ambitions.
- Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.
- Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka anketoje prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.

- Motyvacinis laiškas yra NEprivalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas, išskyrus stojant į Classical music, Design, Jazz ir Fine Art.
- Vienas iš stojimo etapų yra Study Choice Check arba Matching procedure - dažniausiai klausimyno forma.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- turėti anglų kalbos pažymį Brandos atestate ir išlaikyti Anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum)*
arba
- išlaikyti IELTS arba TOEFL testą.
*Jeigu nori pasitikrinti ar tavo anglų kalbos žinios yra pakankamos studijuoti Nyderlandų aukštosiose – suteikiame galimybę laikyti Oxford anglų kalbos testą. Nors anglų kalbos testas nėra reikalaujamas, patartina žinoti savo galimybes ir kalbos lygį.
You will receive an invitation for the Digital/online Matching Assignments (more on this subject here) in a few weeks after application.
Sports Medical Fitness Test
You will also receive detailed information about the SMFT (Sports Medical Fitness Test). Taking part in these tests is obligatory and will be at your own expense. A Sports Medical Fitness Test will cost you approximately €135,-. It is also possible to take a SMFT in your homecountry.
You will be informed on the details of the additional requirements once you have applied for the Sport Studies programme.
Sport Studies graduates have a large range of career options. Many of our graduates will be employed in jobs such as:
- sport marketer

- sports entrepreneur
- training/coaching
- physical activity or healthy ageing coach
- sports policy officer
- community developer
