Become an expert in economic behavior, consumer psychology, and decision-making related to marketing, financial behavior, and communication. With Economic Psychology, you gain an understanding of how companies, non-profits, and governments can utilize knowledge of economic and psychological reasoning to comprehend and influence consumer decisions and financial behaviors. Economic Psychology is a track of the MSc in Social Psychology.

Learn to understand and apply psychological and economic insights to understand consumer behavior, financial decision-making, and marketing. This program has a strong practical orientation and aims to bring leading professional expertise into the classroom through soundboard groups with course-related professionals before the start of the academic year, practical assignments derived from an actual business cases, and opportunities for internships. Instead of lectures, you will attend courses in small, highly interactive work groups.

  • Tilburg University has been a specialist in Economic Psychology since 1972.
  • You will be part of an international classroom with small-scale, interactive education from a team of highly enthousiastic, internationally renowned scholars from dynamic research institutes like TIBER.
  • This program is unique in the Netherlands, with its focus on consumer behavior, marketing and financial decision-making and its implications for public finances. It focuses on the critical and valid application of theory in practice, with an emphasis on how economic psychology and consumer psychology can be applied to companies, non-profits, and policy making.
  • Challenge yourself by honing your professional skills during an internship (12 or 18 ECTS) in an organization chosen by you, or by doing a Double Degree program in Cross-Cultural Economic Psychology with the University of Osnabruck, Germany.

Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas

Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.

  • ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi.
  • Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.

 

Anglų kalbos reikalavimai

SVARBU: anglų kalbos testo sertifikatą privaloma pateikti kartu su visais dokumentais, atsiunčiant anketą. Universitetas nesvarsto stojimo anketų be anglų kalbos testo rezultatų, todėl sertifikatą privaloma pateikti iki stojimo pabaigos. Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • IELTS – 6.5, ne mažiau nei 6.0 iš kiekvienos dalies
  • TOEFL – 90

 

Svarbūs reikalavimai

To be accepted directly onto our Master's program in Economic Psychology, you need to have the following academic background:

  • Bachelor's and/or a Master's degree in psychology e.g. Psychology and Sociology, but not with a degree in, for example, Marketing and Communication, Economics, or Business Studies. No exemptions can be made.

    • You can apply for admission BEFORE you have graduated, but you must graduate by September 1, 2018 at the latest. If your graduation ceremony is after September 1, 2018, please contact Ms. Liesbeth Bluekens, Admissions Officer, at tsb-admissions@tilburguniversity.edu before you apply to avoid disappointment.

    • You cannot be accepted onto this Master's program without having either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology. Work experience or an interest in this field cannot be taken into account for the admission process without a sufficient academic background. However, work experience and personal interest will be taken into account when assessing your application for a Tilburg University Scholarship for Academic Excellence, if you wish to apply.

  • Advanced knowledge in research methods and statistics, specifically quantitative research.

  • Knowledge of relevant subjects in the field of Social Psychology, Economic Psychology or Work and Organizational Psychology.

  • Experience with first-hand empirical research (i.e. collecting, analyzing and reporting quantitative data).
