The Master’s Programme in Responsible Information Systems Development focuses on developing advanced knowledge and expertise for the digital transformation of business processes and the development of responsible information systems. In this programme, you will learn how to apply engineering principles to transform and modernise digital assets of business and industry. 

The programme builds expertise in software and service design and redesign, business process re-engineering and digitalisation for modern businesses, and industry workflow digitalisation. 

The programme is designed for students who have completed at least 24 ECTS credits in computer science or related fields (IT/IS or software engineering) but do not have a bachelor's degree in those fields. The programme develops professional skills and provides opportunities for students to engage in and develop skills for research.

The programme's basic courses can be completed remotely, but the attendance requirements of advanced and elective studies vary. Students should prepare to attend classes on campus as needed.

Degree structure and studies

The programme content includes core studies in software engineering models and methods, requirements engineering, user experience design, and research design methods. Advanced specialisation studies cover topics such as ethical and responsible software development, business process redesign and digitalisation for modern businesses, enterprise data management and information modelling, cloud-based information systems and emerging platforms, governance and regulatory compliance of information systems, enterprise architecture and systems integration, knowledge management, data-driven solutions development for organisational decision-making, and the security and privacy of information systems.

Minor studies are available in industrial engineering and management, embedded systems and communications, international business and management, business analytics, or Finnish language and culture.

Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas

Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.

  • ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi. ĮSIDĖMĖK, Prie anketos būtinai turi prisegti dokumentą (anglų kalba), patvirtinantį, kad studijuoji ir šiais metais baigsi savo studijas. Dokumentas turi būti patvirtinas universiteto administracijos.

  • Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.

 

Pastaba! Stojant į šio universiteto programas yra reikalingas geras bakalauro studijų įvertinimas, vidurkis turėtų būti 7 ir daugiau. Šie reikalavimai yra orientaciniai ir galutinį vertinimą ar turimų pažymių pakanka atliks LUT universiteto priėmimo komisija.

Anglų kalbos reikalavimai

SVARBU! Anglų testo sertifikatas turi būti atsiųstas kartu su stojimo anketa iki stojimo deadlino.

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • IELTS – 6.5

  • TOEFL - 90

AND you must have completed

a minimum of 24 ECTS credits of programme-specific studies in

Kiti reikalavimai
  1. Relevant work experience supportive for the programme and completed by the end of the application period will be evaluated and give extra points. Upload only ONE attachment where you have combined all original Work Certificates for work experience related to the programme. Work experience mentioned only for example, on a CV or on a salary slip will not be considered.

Work Certificate must include:

  • Name of the company
  • Title for the position in the company
  • Duration of the employment
  • Start and end date for the employment; in case of the employment still continuing this must be mentioned as well.
  • Date for the work certificate having been awarded
  • Signature and name in writing for the person having awarded and signed the document
  • Contact details for the person and the company

  2. Upload the related documents to prove your publications and extracurricular activities that are related to the field of study.Upload only ONE attachment where you have combined all the different documents for your publications and extracurricular activities related to the programme and completed by the end of the application period. 

As a graduate of the Master’s Programme in Responsible Information Systems Development, you will know how to analyse digital business models and value creation practices and develop them by re-engineering processes and services. 

You will also be able to evaluate the business impact and cost benefits of digitalisation for individuals, organisations, society, and the world, and design supporting enterprise architectures.
