Fashion Design
Are you inspired by your surroundings? Can you convey your ideas through drawings? At Fashion Design, you will get insight into the full design process, from sketch to finished presentation.
Fashion Design is an area of specialisation within the Academy Profession (AP) Degree programme in Design, Technology & Business.
The programme is located in Herning, and teaches basic skills that will come in handy in your future career, or if you choose to continue your studies on our BA top-up programme.
The course programme centres on women’s wear and offers you a basic understanding of the design profession as well as applied theories and methods within the fashion and lifestyle sector. You will gain basic design skills as well as insight into the entire design process, from the first sketches to production. You will learn about target groups, trends and tendencies, and how to navigate in the fashion industry.
You will learn to take a position on existing brands, and to create a flow in your collection that matches the identity of a brand.
All sketches are done by hand but you are also taught Adobe’s Graphic Design tools so that you can work out a presentation of your collection.

- Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, prie anketos prisek ir savo brandos atestatą.
Vienu iš šių būdų galite patvirtinti universitetui savo anglų kalbos žinias:
- Anglų kalbos valandos - bendras išklausytas anglų kalbos valandų skaičius 10 + 11 + 12 klasėje būtų bent 210 valandų bei anglų kalbos pažymys ne mažesnis kaip 6;
- TOEFL - 83
- IELTS - 6.5
- Matematika. Bendras išklausytas matematikos valandų skaičius turi viršyti 125 valandas, o pažymys būti nemažesnis nei 6.
- Stojimo užduotis. Reikės atlikti specialią stojimo užduotį, kuri bus paskelbta kovo pabaigoje, o ją atlikti turėsite maždaug 2 savaites. Jei nori pamatyti praėjusių metų užduotis, susisiekite su mumis.
- Interviu. Yra tikimybė būti pakviestam į nuotolinį interviu apie kurį universitetas informuos iš anskto ir pateiks informaciją, kaip jam pasiruošti.
- Portfolio. Neprivaloma, bet rekomenduojama pridėti pdf failą su keliais darbų pavyzdžiais, pvz. suprojektuotų drabužių eskizais, siuvamų drabužių nuotraukomis.
You use your creativity and knowledge of trend research to develop ideas for products. As a designer, you are part of the entire design process right up until the product is ready for sale.
VIA Career Service Centre
VIA University College is already making a huge effort to help international students find internships and jobs in Denmark. For several years, our Career Service Centre has been offering VIA students help and guidance in searching for jobs and internships in Denmark by offering workshops on “how to write a CV”,or “how to write an application”. The Centre also organizes company dating – a campus fair where students get to meet a lot of Danish companies to hear more about career opportunities. The Career Service Centre is currently intensifying these activities in response to both the Ministry’s and VIA’s wish for international students to remain in Denmark after graduation. We will be offering graduates even more events and opportunities to meet the companies, just as the opening hours at the Career Service Centre have been extended and more seminars will be held. We want our international students to experience that access to the Danish companies and to the Danish labour market will be even easier in the future.
