We live in a world full of challenges. From natural disasters to poverty. From climate change to human rights violations. As a social worker you learn how to empower people. So they can take charge and affect change. Study International Social Work at HAN and make a world of difference!

An International Social Work bachelor degree at HAN teaches you how to connect with groups of people. Inspire them towards a better future. You learn to liaise with local and international contacts. Set up projects. Empower individuals and communities. So they can become more self-sufficient. You start your internships in the 1st year, so you put theory into practice from the very start. With this degree, you’ll be specialized in Community Development and Inclusive Society. Get going!

The International Social Work bachelor at HAN is the key to unlocking your social work career. You get hands-on experience from the very start. Do social research. Learn project management. Gain creative problem solving skills. And so much more.

The heart of this program is fieldwork. Experienced lecturers teach you about the tools, developments and latest research in social work. Then you start doing research for yourself. You work on complex problems within a community.

Each year you delve into actual situations in practice. In the 1st year you intern at an internationally oriented company in the Netherlands. In the 2nd year you undertake project work in practice. This gives you insight into possible contexts for your future career as a social work professional. In the 3rd and 4th years you deepen your workplace learning experience. Throughout the program you are challenged to operate in an international context, while being guided through hybrid or online learning.

Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas
  • Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.
  • Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka anketoje prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.

  • Motyvacinis laiškas yra NEprivalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
  • Interviu - visi stojantys į bakalauro programas privalo sudalyvauti stojimo procedūroje, kurios metu bus vykdomas interviu. Šio interviu tikslas - išsiaiškinti ar pasirinkta programa atitinka tavo poreikius ir lūkesčius.
Anglų kalbos reikalavimai

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • turėti anglų kalbos pažymį Brandos atestate ir išlaikyti Anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum)*

           arba

  • išlaikyti IELTS arba TOEFL testą.

*Jeigu nori pasitikrinti ar tavo anglų kalbos žinios yra pakankamos studijuoti Nyderlandų aukštosiose – suteikiame galimybę laikyti Oxford anglų kalbos testą. Nors anglų kalbos testas nėra reikalaujamas, patartina žinoti savo galimybes ir kalbos lygį.

With a HAN bachelor degree in International Social Work, you can find jobs all over the world. Implement improvements, build bridges and work towards a healthy and inclusive society. You can become a "social world improver".

  • Social worker. As a social worker you support people living in a community in solving various problems and enhancing their socio-economic livability. From microcredits to unemployment. And from upbringing to education challenges.

  • Social-cultural worker. Here you help neighborhood residents or specific groups in communities solve social and cultural problems and challenges. You look at how people relate to culture and use culture and arts activities to help people move forward.

  • Youth worker in a multicultural community. You support neighborhood residents from different cultures with questions and problems. You understand the issues they encounter and support them in improving their perspectives and quality of life.

  • Social worker in a refugee camp. As a social worker in a refugee camp, you aid refugees with their very specific needs, fears and requests. You support them in finding their way towards a humane existence and a better life.

  • Social worker in an asylum center. As a social worker in an asylum center, you have a vast experience with different cultures and global problems. You are a big support for asylum seekers who often find themselves in very vulnerable situations.

  • Project leader in community development. Help people live better together. You might set up a youth center, develop cultural activities and support people in working together for a better future. As a project leader, you coordinate various initiatives for the community.

  • Social project developer for victims of natural disasters. You work with victims of natural disasters and assist in the many different things they need. You set up projects. Provide shelter and safety. And work with the victims to find ways to rebuild their lives.

  • Leader in development projects. You lead a group of caregivers and volunteers who apply themselves to helping people build a better life. For example: working towards better hygiene and providing hygiene education in a township in South-Africa.
