Business Studies with Operations & Project Management BA (Hons)

Our flexible, industry-recognised Business Studies degrees allow you to apply to our broad Business Studies degree (N100) and then switch to a business specialism in year two. What’s more, as this course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), you’ll not only graduate with a BA in Business Studies with Operations & Project Management, but receive a CMI leadership and management qualification too. It is aso accredited by the Association for Project Management.
Our Business Studies with Operations & Project Management pathway unveils the key processes, systems and practices that contribute to effective projects and operations will give you a detailed understanding of how to take an overarching view of a situation and use that knowledge to operate a successful business, or project. You’ll examine individual and corporate behaviours and cultures, and how these apply on an international scale. You’ll also learn about the growing importance of sustainable business practice
Your curriculum, taught by highly qualified lecturers and industry-savvy practitioners, will include numerous networking events and compelling talks held by guest speakers from a variety of business disciplines. Plus there’s the possibility of travel in year two, as you can study the second semester at one of BU’s international partner institutions, currently in Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United States.
A 30-week period in industry will help to bolster your CV in year three. This will give you essential real-world experience, placing your theory and skills into practice, and enabling you to harvest a network of professional contacts – all of which are vital for successfully launching a career.
