Online application form

Create an account on the Kastu platform. When you register, use an email address you check every day – all important information about your application is sent there.

Use the Kastu study search. When you find a program you like, click the green  +  button and it is added to your application form automatically.

Tip: Choose 2–5 programs at different universities – it gives you more options and is one of our key recommendations for guaranteed admission.

Fill in all parts of the form, upload your documents and click “Submit application”. We review your details, clarify anything that is missing and send your application to the universities.

The form is simple and clear. It has 8 parts:

1. Personal information – name, surname, contact details, citizenship.
2. Education – school, years of study, grades.
3. Foreign languages – your English level and test results.
4. Experience – work, volunteering or other experience (if any).
5. Documents – transcript of grades, a copy of your identity document, etc.
6. Motivation letter – required only by certain universities (Kastu provides instructions with examples).
7. Letter of recommendation – optional.
8. Other information – additional questions or comments.

Important: Next to each section of the form you will find an ! icon with explanations – if you have a question, just click it.

The platform shows exactly which documents your chosen programs need. Usually you only need:

• A copy of your identity document
• Your transcript of grades (or your secondary school leaving certificate, if you have already finished school). Learn more
• A motivation letter (only where required – see the list). We review your motivation letter and suggest how to make it stronger, so your application stands out at every university you choose!

You will find the full list in the “Documents” section of the application form – it updates automatically as you add study programs, so it always matches the universities you apply to.

After you submit the form, here is what happens:

• We check your documents.
• If we find errors – we contact you by email and help you fix them.
• When everything is in order – we send your application to the universities.
• You get an email and SMS at every stage of the application.

You can follow the status of your application in your Kastu account – when you log in, you see which stage your application is at. For every update you get an SMS and an email, so you always know what is happening – read them and act on them.

Yes!

Most students start the application process while still in their final year of school. You can upload missing documents, such as your secondary school leaving certificate, later – when you receive them.

In one form you can choose up to 20 study programs at different universities and in different countries. We recommend choosing 2–5 programs so you have more good options.

Once the form is submitted, you can no longer edit it yourself. But the Kastu team reviews your documents and, if corrections or additional information are needed, contacts you by email and helps you make the changes before your documents go to the universities.

If the form won't submit, it usually means some required fields are still empty. Go through all parts of the form and fill in the highlighted gaps. If the problem persists, ask KastuGPT – it can help you work out which required field is still missing.

No! 

Filling in the form and applying through Kastu is completely free. Kastu's work is funded by European Union institutions, so you don't pay for document review, application submission or platform support – there is no application fee, no admission fee and no hidden costs.

Yes!

You can prove your English in several ways:

• Your school-leaving exam in English – accepted by some universities (check what your university requires).
• International tests – IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo.

If your chosen program requires an international test, submit the form now and add the test certificate later. The deadline for your test result is in the program description on kastu.eu and on the official university page – you also get an email and SMS reminder.

The Kastu team usually reviews the form within 1–3 working days. If anything needs to be added, we contact you by email. After approval, the form is sent to the universities.

Until the form is submitted, you can freely add, remove or change programs. After submission you can no longer edit the list yourself, but your application does not go to the universities straight away – while the Kastu team is still checking it, changes to your programs are still possible. Ask KastuGPT how to do it. So check your program list carefully before you click “Submit application”.

We recommend uploading documents in PDF format. JPG and PNG are also accepted. Make sure your documents are clearly scanned or photographed – nothing cut off or too dark.

The earlier, the better! We recommend starting the form as soon as you decide to study abroad.

Deadlines differ by country and university. You will find them in the program description on kastu.eu and on the official university page – the university page is always the most reliable source. We recommend not leaving it to the last minute!
