Game Sound Integration - Digital Arts and Entertainment
Become an expert in Sound Design for games
Game Sound Integration is a major within the Bachelor of Digital Arts and Entertainment that focuses on teaching the technical skills needed to create the sound design of games.
You learn how to be a versatile member of game development teams and to understand and execute various tasks (programming, knowledge of audio-visual language, mathematics, physics, 2D & 3D, game engines, level editing, procedures, and pipelines).
The emphasis of this major is to understand and communicate the requirements for sound design in a game. You will learn how to create audio at a professional level and be trained to deliver your audio creations to game studios correctly.
Unlike more artistic higher education programmes, the focus is on technical skills rather than aesthetics. The five key areas of the curriculum are:
- SFX
- Music
- Voice recording (recording/direction/acting)
- Foley
- Music & Ambience
These five areas focus on creation, editing, integration, and delivery. You will be taught technical and practical skills for recording/mixing/mastering and expected to master your Digital Audio Workstation at a professional level. You will also gain a thorough understanding of how audio functions in-engine and through middleware and learn how to deliver a finished project to be implemented in a game.
Quality assurance in every programme
Quality assurance is embedded in the daily operation of our entire programme. We continuously and systematically improve the quality of our courses. The involvement of students, field professionals and alumni is crucial in this process.
In 2024, the Digital Arts & Entertainment bachelor's programme was reviewed by an independent and external panel. The review was conducted by VLUHR QA. The quality of the programme was evaluated positively.
Recent graduates of the Digital Arts & Entertainment bachelor's programme have stated that they were satisfied with the quality of the training they received. - Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.

- Motyvacinis laiškas yra privalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
- Matematika - studijoms bus reikalingos geros matematikos žinios, todėl pageidautinas A lygis mokykloje.
- Howest taiko 50 EUR stojimo anketos adminstravimo mokestį.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- 11 klasėje mokytis anglų kalbos B2 lygiu ir turėti metinį pažymį ne mažesnį nei 8, bei vėliau išlaikyti anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum);
- Jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą reikia turėti išlaikytą anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą;
- IELTS - 6.5
- TOEFL - 550 taškai (paper-based), 213 taškai (computer-based) arba 79 taškai (internet-based);
- Duolingo English Test - 110
Sėkmingoms studijoms Howest aukštojoje yra labai svarbios geros matematikos žinios, todėl:
- Rekomenduojame turėti matematiką A lygiu;
- Rekomenduojame peržiūrėti DAE programos matematikos temas, kurias turėsi praeiti studijuodamas ir įsivertinti savo žinias. Temas gali rasti ČIA ir ČIA;
- Rekomenduojame turėti iš matematikos ne mažiau nei 7.
Svarbu! Tuo atveju, jei matematikos pažymys yra mažesnis nei 7, motyvaciniame laiške reikia pridėti papildomą pastraipą, kurioje reikia pagrįsti, kodėl universitetas turėtų tave priimti su prastesniu matematikos pažymiu.
