Professional Practice (Primary Education and Education)
This top-up degree is flexibly designed to enable practitioners in community health, education, social care and policing to meet their continuing professional development (CPD) needs and develop their expertise in their practice setting.
What will this course cover?
This work-based programme is open to students who have successfully completed a Foundation Degree or a Diploma in Higher Education. It is designed to help you develop your theoretical knowledge and expertise and enable enhanced practice and career progression.
Applicants should normally have 120 credits at Level 5 and will normally be working in a relevant area of community health, education and social care. Evidence of working in a relevant practice area will be required prior to commencing the programme.
Students choosing the modular option who intend to complete this degree programme can only use a maximum of 60 credits as Accredited Prior Certificated Learning (APCL).
Structured learning activities include lectures, seminars, tutorials and other time-tabled sessions. The amount of time set aside for each activity (‘contact hours’) is set out in individual module descriptors and so will vary depending on the modules you take. When you are not attending structured learning and teaching activities you will be expected to continue learning independently through self-study. Typically this will involve reading journal articles and books, working on individual and group projects, using the library, preparing for seminars, and completing coursework assignments.
Į Top-up (Tęstinės studijos) gali stoti baigę kolegiją ar universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniuose kursuose ir norintys perstoti. Stojant į Top - up reikia turėti 120-180 ECTS kreditų, todėl stodamas įsitikink, kad jų turi pakankamai. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu. Baigęs tęstinių studijų programą gausi bakalauro diplomą.
ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai.
Aukštosios mokyklos baigimo diplomas - Jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prisegti savo Aukštosios mokyklos baigimo diplomą.
Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.

This course offers a grounding that enables early years practitioners to knowledgeably enhance their practice with children and their families. As a successful graduate you will have a desirable qualification for career progression, including highly sought after jobs within early years and education.
Further opportunities for successful students include progression onto early years teacher or wider teacher training programmes or studying at master’s level towards an award in a relevant field of interest, for example MA in Education, MSc in Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding or MSc in Mental Health and Well-Being in Education.
