Why study civil engineering?
Everything we do depends on the functionality of the built environment: how we live, work, study, or travel. Our well-being is based on healthy indoor air, comfortable indoor temperatures, and the ability to move safely and efficiently through neighbourhoods, streets, and cities. As society changes, so does the built environment, shaping and being shaped by the way we live.
The Bachelor's Programme in Civil Engineering tackles the most critical challenges of the built environment. It prepares you to address major societal transformations such as the energy transition, urbanisation, resource efficiency, climate change, and digitalization.The goal is to create technology-driven growth, transform business models, and develop resilient infrastructure.
What will you learn?
The programme gives you the mathematical and scientific foundation to solve practical problems. You will have the technical knowledge needed for development, design, and management roles in civil and construction engineering. You will recognise the societal relevance of civil engineering and the ecological, economic, and social dimensions of sustainable development and apply this understanding in your work.
After completing the degree, you will be equipped to consider all dimensions of sustainability in design, development, and decision‑making. You will also have comprehensive digital skills.
The programme prepares you for master’s studies in civil engineering. You will be able to assess your strengths and interests to choose the specialisation that suits you best. You will develop your expertise through your choice of minor subject and thesis topic, guiding you toward technical design and development, project management, business and life‑cycle economy, or community and urban development.

How will you learn?
The programme takes place on LUT’s Lahti campus and includes company and construction site visits and several days on LUT’s Lappeenranta campus. Courses involve practical exercises in both virtual environments and materials laboratories.
During the first two years, you will study alongside students of the Bachelor’s Programme in Sustainable Construction Technology. This combination of research‑based education and a business‑oriented perspective offers a unique opportunity to develop skills that are highly sought after in the professional world.

Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia. Pageidaujamas pažymių vidurkis turi būti ne mažiau 7.
Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą
Pastaba!
- Motyvacinis laiškas yra NEprivalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
- Pageidaujamas bendras pažymių vidurkis turi būti ne mažiau 7.
- Matematika - reikalaujamos geros matematikos žinios, todėl pageidaujama turėti A lygį mokykloje ir ne mažesnį pažymį nei 8.
- Fizika arba chemija - pageidaujama turėti ne mažesnį pažymį nei 8.
Svarbu. Jei stoji su 11 kl. pažymiais, svarbu, kad ir brandos atestate pažymiai būtų ne mažesnis.
Pažymių reikalavimai yra orientaciniai ir galutinį vertinimą ar turimų pažymių pakanka atliks LUT universiteto priėmimo komisija.
SVARBU! Anglų testo sertifikatas turi būti atsiųstas kartu su stojimo anketa iki stojimo deadlino.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- Turėti ne mažesnį pažymį nei 8 iš anglų kalbos. Jei stoji su 11 kl. pažymiais ir iš anglų kalbos turi 8 ir daugiau, svarbu, kad ir brandos atestate anglų kalbos pažymys būtų ne mažesnis nei 8.
IELTS Academic or IELTS Online – 6.5 (ne mažiau 6.0 iš rašymo ir kalbėjimo dalių)
TOEFL iBT & TOEFL iBT Home Edition - 90 (ne mažiau 22 iš rašymo ir kalbėjimo dalių ). TOEFL testo rezultatai privalo būti nusiųsti tiesiogiai iš centro, kuriame laikei testą, LUT universiteto kodas, kurį reikia nurodyti yra 0496).
Visi stojantieji turi pateikti mokyklos užpildytą ir pasirašytą matematikos programos dokumentą. Norėdami rasti ir atsisiųsti šį dokumentą reikia:
Užsiregistruoti Kastu svetainėje;
Pradėti pildyti Kastu internetinę stojimo anketą;
Pridėti bent vieną LUT bakalauro programą prie savo pasirinkimų.
Kai atliksite šiuos veiksmus, skiltyje „Dokumentai“ galėsite atsisiųsti matematikos programos šabloną, kurį turi užpildyti ir pasirašyti mokykla.
