Christianity and Society: philosophy, theology, politics, digital culture. Reflect critically on Christianity in the public space and the tensions that arise in the dialogue with modern society and world religions. The program links theological and religious sources of the past with current social, economic and political issues. Special attention is given to issues such as the relation between religion and state, and the contribution of capitalism to justice and happiness.

This program provides a broad perspective on religion and society, including theological, sociological, economical, juridical and philosophical questions.   • Small classes (on average 5-10 students), so a lot of individual attention and personal contact among fellow students and teachers.
  • International classroom with students from various countries, religions, and academic backgrounds, ensuring a lively and balanced dialogue.
  • The opportunity to follow the Extended Master’s Program (adds half a year to the regular program) in which you do an internship at an institution or organization in the field.
  • Lower tuition fees than other Master’s programs at Tilburg University.
  • Partial scholarships are available to encourage students from all economic backgrounds to participate in this graduate program.
  • Socially relevant: the Master Christianity and Society deals with relevant social topics: Synodal Process in the Netherlands, various medical-ethical topics, faith & youth, and religion & digital media.

Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas

Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.

  • ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi.
  • Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.

 

Anglų kalbos reikalavimai

SVARBU: anglų kalbos testo sertifikatą privaloma pateikti kartu su visais dokumentais, atsiunčiant anketą. Universitetas nesvarsto stojimo anketų be anglų kalbos testo rezultatų, todėl sertifikatą privaloma pateikti iki stojimo pabaigos. Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • IELTS – 6.5, ne mažiau nei 6.0 iš kiekvienos dalies
  • TOEFL – 90

 

Svarbūs reikalavimai
  • An equivalent of a Dutch academic Bachelor's degree. If you have a Bachelor's degree from a non-university institution of higher education, you must first complete our Pre-Master's program.
  • An interest in Christianity and in the workings of religion and society.
  • A basic knowledge of Christianity and theology (a reading list is available to improve your knowledge prior to the start of the program).

  • Your curriculum vitae (maximum of two typed pages).

Upon graduation you will be an expert on the relations between Christianity and society in multiple fields of study. You will be able to use your expertise in advisory or management roles in religious organizations and churches, in government organizations and in NGOs. You will also be able to apply your academic knowledge in the fields of media, politics and economic relations.
