Software and Systems Engineering
Software and technology have become increasingly important in our daily lives.
Programming skills give you the tools to solve great societal challenges. Challenges can be related to, for example, digitalisation, reducing energy consumption, the research and development needs of the business world or guiding consumer behaviour towards sustainability. Societal or organisational problems may also be solved by introducing a new software service, product or system to provide assistance and information to the people around us.
Software engineering is for people who are interested in problem solving and want to make things faster, less costly and more efficient in the future. You will produce solutions that take into account the needs of both individuals and large companies.
Double Degree
The Bachelor's Programme in Software and Systems Engineering is a unique, international double degree programme developed in cooperation with Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) in China. Students admitted to this bachelor's programme will receive a degree certificate from two universities after they have fulfilled the degree requirements of both universities. You will complete the entire degree in Lahti, Finland.
Note: If you choose this program, you will be required to study Chinese as part of your double degree program. Students must also pass a language test during their studies at LUT in order to receive a degree from Hebei University of Technology.
Why a double degree?
This double degree programme prepares you for the international labour market. In today’s globalised world, getting degrees from two universities and mastering the basics of the Chinese language adds extra value to your future career and helps you stand out from other job applicants. As the official language of the world’s second-largest economy, Chinese is particularly valuable in business, allowing for more effective communication and fostering deeper connections in professional contexts.
What will you learn in the programme?
As a graduate in software engineering, you will develop profitable, sustainable and user-friendly solutions for different needs.
You will understand that software and IT hardware are tools for solutions: they often serve as an essential support for other disciplines, in addition to creating opportunities and services themselves.
You will learn to take into account aspects of digitalisation, information management and sustainable development when designing software. You will be able to apply logical thinking and science to solve problems and real-life challenges.
Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia. Pageidaujamas pažymių vidurkis turi būti ne mažiau 7.
Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą

- Motyvacinis laiškas yra NEprivalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
- Pageidaujamas bendras pažymių vidurkis turi būti ne mažiau 7.
- Matematika - reikalaujamos geros matematikos žinios, todėl pageidaujama turėti A lygį mokykloje ir ne mažesnį pažymį nei 8.
- Fizika arba chemija arba IT - pageidaujama turėti ne mažesnį pažymį nei 8.
Svarbu. Jei stoji su 11 kl. pažymiais, svarbu, kad ir brandos atestate pažymiai būtų ne mažesnis.
Pažymių reikalavimai yra orientaciniai ir galutinį vertinimą ar turimų pažymių pakanka atliks LUT universiteto priėmimo komisija.
SVARBU! Anglų testo sertifikatas turi būti atsiųstas kartu su stojimo anketa iki stojimo deadlino.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- Turėti ne mažesnį pažymį nei 8 iš anglų kalbos. Jei stoji su 11 kl. pažymiais ir iš anglų kalbos turi 8 ir daugiau, svarbu, kad ir brandos atestate anglų kalbos pažymys būtų ne mažesnis nei 8.
IELTS Academic or IELTS Online – 6.5 (ne mažiau 6.0 iš rašymo ir kalbėjimo dalių)
TOEFL iBT & TOEFL iBT Home Edition - 90 (ne mažiau 22 iš rašymo ir kalbėjimo dalių ). TOEFL testo rezultatai privalo būti nusiųsti tiesiogiai iš centro, kuriame laikei testą, LUT universiteto kodas, kurį reikia nurodyti yra 0496).
Visi stojantieji turi pateikti mokyklos užpildytą ir pasirašytą matematikos programos dokumentą. Norėdami rasti ir atsisiųsti šį dokumentą reikia:
Užsiregistruoti Kastu svetainėje;
Pradėti pildyti Kastu internetinę stojimo anketą;
Pridėti bent vieną LUT bakalauro programą prie savo pasirinkimų.
Kai atliksite šiuos veiksmus, skiltyje „Dokumentai“ galėsite atsisiųsti matematikos programos šabloną, kurį turi užpildyti ir pasirašyti mokykla.
